How to keep bees and make honey - in the City!

Due to popular demand, Honeybee Centre and Hives For Humanity are pleased to offer this intensive beekeeping course.  This course will give you the knowledge to begin keeping bees. It is designed for anyone interested in beginning beekeeping, and is specifically geared towards hobby beekeepers keeping bees "in the city". The course is a combination of classroom and field instruction, and covers all the biology and management activities you can expect to encounter in a basic beekeeping operation. The course includes 2 days of classroom study and 1 day of field work.

Graduates of the course can attend the Winter Management course for free. This one day course in the summer will give a hands on review of what was learned in the classroom, and refresh students on the steps to take in the Fall for a successful Winter!

Price includes the text book The Backyard Beekeeper by Kim Flottum. Course registration fee is refundable 30 days prior to course.
